As a part of celebrating Breastfeeding Month, AREDS Health Team organized a training programme on the 24th of August 2022 for pregnant women, lactating mothers and adolescent girls in Karungalappalli village of Karur district.
Themes such as the importance of breastfeeding in guaranteeing the health of mother and the infant and the negative impact of bottle feeding on the health of children were dealt with in the training. The health team members staged skits and cultural programmes in order to enhancing the understanding of the trainees about the themes.
Thirty members underwent training and became aware of the importance of breastfeeding.
